[Trade Journal] Bitcoin 67K V-Shaped Recovery: Resisting FOMO and Setting a Trap

Hello. I am Couch Cappy , striving to survive by sticking to my principles in the rough waves of the market. Today, Bitcoin plummeted to test the basement near 64.9K, and then showed massive volatility by bouncing back vertically (V-shape) above 67K with strong buying pressure. Someone might have chased the pump with euphoria looking at the massive green candle, but I chose a strategy of strictly observing today and setting a 'trap' at my desired levels. [ Controlling FOMO: Why I Gave Up Market Buying at 67K ] The most dangerous thing when a chart violently rebounds is the 'Fear Of Missing Out (FOMO)'. I also had the urge to execute a Long position at market price, but I coldly controlled it. The reason is simple. The macroeconomic trend on the daily timeframe is still in a corrective wave, and a complete reversal to an uptrend has not been confirmed. Above all, if I enter at market price near 67K, the clear defense line (stop loss at 64.8K) becomes too deep, severely ...

[Trade Journal] Mar 17 - BTC Hits 75K 🚀 Surviving FOMO & 1st Entry Filled! 🦥

Hey guys, it’s Couch Cappy here—rolling the compound interest while chilling on the sofa. 🦥☕

Today, Bitcoin smashed through the 74K resistance and went on a crazy parabolic rally towards 75K~76K. Watching that train leave the station, did you struggle with the FOMO to market-buy the top?

Honestly, a part of me thought, 'Should I jump in now?'... but I held back. With the mindset of "If it doesn't hit my net, it's not my money," I suppressed the urge to revenge-trade. And eventually, the market gave me the exact entry I wanted.

[Trade Journal: Mar 17, 2026 - BTC 3x Swing]

[Current Status: 1st Long Entry Filled 🟢] The massive former ceiling (73.8K) was broken, so I judged that this level would now become a strong cushion (support). I set my nets and successfully caught the first short-term pullback from the local top!

  • Direction: Long

  • Leverage: 3x

  • Size: 30% of total capital (15% filled / 15% pending)

  • Entry Targets: 1st at $73,800 (Filled) / 2nd at $73,200 (Pending)

  • Take Profit (TP): Open (Will use a Trailing Stop)

  • Hard Stop (SL): $72,070 (-1.94% from avg entry)

[Lesson Learned] Shorting a bull market or FOMO-buying the top because you missed the bus is suicide. Waiting is painful, but by sticking to the rules and responding according to my pre-set scenario, the safe entry (73.8K) eventually came.

The 2nd target at 73.2K is my ultimate defense line against a deep liquidity sweep (stop hunt) by whales. If the 74K breakout turns out to be a fakeout and my hard stop at $72,070 is breached, I will take the loss coolly and wait for the next opportunity.

🧠 Curious about the 'S/R Flip' strategy I used today? This wasn't a lucky guess! If you want to know the exact logic behind why I chose 73.8K as my 1st cushion and 73.2K as my 2nd defense line, check out my detailed strategy breakdown below: 👉 https://couchcappy5.blogspot.com/2026/03/trading-strategy-how-to-survive-fomo-in.html

Protecting your capital is way more important than making quick gains. I'm just going to sip my coffee and watch the fish caught in my net! ☕
